The colors for this sculpture are loosely based on a breathtaking phenomenon that causes entire coral reef structures to turn various neon hues. Coral bleaching and this dramatic color changing is happening more rampantly now than ever. What will these little corals' lives be like in the future?

This sculpture is made with polymer clays and is meticulously hand-modeled and sculpted for your pleasure :) The found asphalt rock is embellished with sea-foam green sand and evokes a natural, yet slightly unsettling, texture and element to the piece.
